Unpretentious and delightful.

Tucked away in a tatty shopping mall long forgotten by the In Crowd is a tiny, non-descript, chaotic little shop dealing with the Haberdashery Of Every Day Living, from potato peelers and wire cutters to fishing rods and hair dye; from cosmetics to T-Shirts. The place is always busy. Staff are constantly weary of shop-lifting, even in their Five & Dime store. A sure sign of the difficult times in which we live!

The business does not belong to any chain group pretending to offer crazy, inexpensive items for ‘bargain’ prices, nor are they crusaders of 2nd hand items. Where a Pharma Giant retail franchise down the road sells a pair of over-the-counter, non-prescriptive reading glasses for R200.00, Hair to Toes sells them for R20.00. WOW!

Why are there not more shops like this? They have the formula for a successful business and a simple premise - specialists of nothing in particular and everything nebulous. Unpretentious and delightful.
