Process that occurred:- Searched on the Web for people doing Waterproofing / Damp repair. Phoned a couple of them to request quotations and received some quotations. After discussions with some of them I decided on accepting quotation of Haigh Solutions -- Owner is Gouche Haigh As normal an amount was required to be paid as part of acceptance. An amount of R3600 was paid and Gouche WhatsApp messaged me me to confirm the receipt of the payment and that he ordered the required stock and should receive it within a week. As soon as he received the stock he would make an appointment to start the work. Two weeks passed and no communications from Gouche. I tried phoning him but it just went to voicemail and I left a message. A couple of days passed and still no reply from him. I messaged him on WhatsApp and requested confirmation on starting the job. No reply or any communication from him. That went on like that. First couple of messages you could see it was read. Later on the new messages just showed = not read or not delivered. Tried his business web page and Facebook pages. No success. I did eventuality discovered on Facebook that he moved shortly after my quatation and process to the Western Cape. Probably it became to heated around Pretoria and Montana where he used to stay. I also discovered on Hellopeter a similar case that occurred in 2023. I did report a case of ***** at the Police station and provided all the details related to the case. I am waiting to get feedback from the Investigating officer. In the meantime it seems as if he is just going on as if nothing happened but now in the Cape - Strand area. Hopefully the Police can investiagte and arrest this person and hold him accountable.
