Harassing SMS's for PAID Tv license

I keep getting SMS's to pay a tv license that was paid on the day my tv was purchased in April. I have been asked to send proof of payment many times to SABC, and I have. I have made follow up calls to check if payment has now reflected, but no response. HC (who are the ones sending threatening SMS's) cannot help. HOW?

The number on the sms from HC threatening me also doesn't work. This is getting extremely annoying as I am being chased for something I paid long ago, and it is time consuming to keep having to make these follow up calls.

Dear Babalwa Makaba,

Thank you very much for taking your time, and leaving a review on Hello Peter on your experience with Hahn Collections.

Please note that the TV license that was opened in March, was never paid as per SABC records. I have attached your statement for your perusal. In order for us to stop sending monthly reminders on non-payment, please send me the Proof of payment that shows the payment of the TV license.

Please note that the SABC TV license division is governed by the Broadcasting Act No 4 of 1999, Section 27, As amended. Paying your TV license is a statutory (legal) requirement in terms of an Act of Parliament. Your TV license is payable annually at a fee of R265 for a Domestic TV license, failure to make payment on time results in the SABC penalizing you for late or non-payment.

A TV license is payable even if you do not watch SABC1,2, OR 3. The Act stipulates that anyone who uses a TV set or has a TV set in their possession needs to have a valid TV license at a prescribed fee all the time.

As per your statement ( emailed to you) you currently owe R477, which is the annual R265 plus the penalties of non-payment of R26.50 for the past 8 months.

Should you require clarity or any other information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Hi There, I do not have a tv license opened in March. I bought a tv on the 1st of April. We left the store on the 31st of March before paying because the Television set we wanted to buy was available the next day.

Dear Babalwa,
thank you for your response.

Please note that the retailer that you purchased your TV set from used the wrong reference number. we have escalated your account to the SABC TV license division for allocation of payment. we would like to apologize for the inconvenience.
