Disgusted with Habari Media

Having been a subscriber to Getaway magazine since the late eighties I eventually stopped my subscription as we no longer have a reliable postal service. I was talked into street delivery in Johannesburg but that was also very irregular. Much easier to buy a copy instore. I received a call from Sibabalwa of Habari Media in October 2022 who convinced me that since we had relocated from Johannesburg to Cape Town and had a PostNet Box it would be possible to resume a subscription effective from the January 2023 issue. Plus there was a coffee table book included with the new subscription. So I duly accepted the offer and paid. When we moved to Cape Town in October I did find a couple of back issues of Getaway from my previous subscription in the box at our PostNet branch, a good start I thought. I regret to say that no January issue or gift has turned up as at the end of December 2022, so I will once again buy the January issue instore before it is sold out. The last email I received from Sibabalwe regarding my complaint on 15 December 2022 stated that Habari Media needed a Manager's name at PostNet to address the gift to. As my PostNet branch rightly said when I called them about this ridiculous request they receive parcels from all over the world without a manager's name, only the Box owner's name who they then call to advise that collection of a large item is required! I have emailed Habari Media to express my disgust at their service and requested that if they cannot deliver on the promise I was sold into, a twelve month subscription to Getaway magazine beginning with the January 2023 issue, they should refund my money. If you cannot deliver a service then don't sell it!
