Poor mechanicals - 'as is'

Bought a Kia Picanto 2010 model with 94 000 km for my daughter from Gys Pitzer Motors Lindo Park. Being two ladies, I've asked a mechanic to have a look at the car and take it for a test drive. The complain was that the clutch plate it faulty. Before signing the papers the dealer ship had the clutch plate replaced. Six months down the line the clutch cable snapped. Taking the car to a dealer approved by the warranty offered, we were told that the clutch fork was welded in the wrong spot, only a reconditioned clutch was fitted, the thrust bearing was kept in place with copper wiring and there was a hole in the gearbox.

After 2 weeks of fighting the dealership took the car back to replace the clutch plate and fix the gearbox. A month down the line and once again we had problems with the clutch, they took back the car again and the clutch cable was replace. It's a week later and once again we are struggling with a car that does not want to go into gear. Gys Pitzer Motors this time around only gives me the number of the people doing the clutch and gearbox and I need to sort it myself. Stranded without a car. Although the manager told us that they do not sell cars 'as is', I beg to differ.
