******** Gym Policy

I have not been going to the gym for the past year and they debit my account R199.00 per month of which if I calculate it is R2388 and I contacted them and advised them I want to cancel the membership but I was told im in arrears of R900 and due to this I cannot cancel my membership.<br> <br> It is against the CPA to have me bound to a contract the expired and let it run up a bill and I find it unfair that I requested cancellation 4 months ago and was told it can't happen until I have paid the arrears of which I am not even using their facilities.Stay away from this gym as they bind you to a 3 year contract and you cannot cancel the membership.I will be taking this to The Southern Courier newspaper and to the Consumer watch as this is ******** practice that a client must keep paying a membership that they do not want and cannot cancel until arrears have been paid for a membership that expired 6 months ago.
