It more than a year that I've cancelled my contract with Gym Company Bromhoff instore, and they are still pestering me for money. I've signed a contract with this branch 31 August 2018 for a 12 month membership only. Branch was under renovations, and because I liked swimming I couldn't wait for the pool to re-open. To my surprise they closed up the pool and built a "SPA". Needless to say, I stopped using the facility and paid up my membership in full on the 31 July 2018. Told receptionist that I will not be continuing with the gym and she gave me a form to complete for their finance department. Despite that my signed contract states 12 months only. Despite that I've paid my 12 months in full Despite completing their cancellation document in their facility This branch is now looking for me to pay an amnesty cancellation fee of R1096,00 and if I don't pay it they are going to blacklist me.

Any one considering using this useless facility, should think twice, they don't follow the consumer protection act either. They will debit your account even if you give them 30 day notice after the contract period is finished
