THE UNTRUTHFULNESS OF THE GYM COMPANY

I joined the gym on the 26th of January 2018 and two weeks later i went to cancel my membership because the person who had offered to pay for me said they were not gonna be able to go ahead with it. on the day i went for cancellation they told me to pay R1500 and i told they that i have not even started with my one month trial as a result they refused to cancel m membership without me paying the R1500. The one thing that ****es me off is that they told me i can cancel the membership anytime and a formal contract was never presented to me for me to sign and yet they say my account is active. Also, they gave me a student package of which i am expected to pay R179 a month,but on the day of cancellation i was told i have to pay R200 a month. On top of that, they never mentioned that you get to pay for the tag, and they said at the end of this month they are going to deduct R379 which is a price that was never communicated with me to begin with.
