The Gym Co fails to cancel debit order, deliberately stalls with refund

We had a gym contract for our daughter at the Jacaranda Gym. In June 2024, my wife and daughter went to the gym in question and signed the cancellation forms, of which we have a copy. The 3 months' notice was therefore July, August and September 2024.

However, the Gym Company failed to cancel the debit order, and since then, they've been deducting money from my wife's account. In a futile attempt to sort this out, my wife went to the gym on 17 January, only to be told by an extremely rude employee that it required all sorts of red tape and nonsense, and that the refund due would take months.

This is of course absurd. It is a simple refund which should take a few hours, not months. I would suggest that the Gym Company moves its premises to be in a large tent, as they seem to be running a circus. To say their so-called service is execrable, would be to insult fecal matter.
