teenage exploitation

My unemployed nephew who is 17 years of age was given a 36 month contract for R300.00 by the company on the 15 November 2017, I do Not understand how such a big company can offer an unemployed teenager who does not even attend school a contract. They are now threatening to blacklist if he doesn't pay this contract. I'm his caregiver his mother does not work how is he supposed to pay this company? As it is we cannot afford to take him to tertiary due to financial constrains
