No Tolerance or Space for Windowed Mothers!!!

I am a single mother of two children trying my best to juggle work, responsibilities, kids, well being and health. I have been a member at the Gym Company for 4 years. Never skipped payments and they deduct maintenance fees from me, once-every year. I have sent many suggestions to this branch, which have fallen on deaf-ears. I never see any improvement in this place.

Tonight I went there, at 6pm. I looked for a small space where I could do my work-out. A 10 000 step routine. A small space where I can switch off and nurture my body and mind, after a very hard day.

Upon arrival I saw that there is no space on the top floor - as a training class was in full swing. Being the unfit person, with bad knees, I continued down to the studio area - for some privacy. There was another class busy in full swing. I still entered and chose a small space at the back. In no-ones way. Not bothering anyone.

I was approached by an agent, Male, who told me that I can't do my work-out there, because there is class. He refused to let me do my workout. I refused to leave. I am a paying member. I can surely choose to do my own workout in a proper space, where I am in no one's way. I said to the agent that if he want's me to leave, he must ask a Manager to come tell me so.

The Manager came and also insisted I leave the studio. This Manager also being Male.

I proceeded to explain my situation and I asked if I can just please do my workout. I came to the gym at the best time possible for me to do so. I am not fit to do any of the classes. I would like to get there. I can't always make the classes on time. How can they expect of me, women alone, and mother alone, to leave my kids and go after way after 7pm at night.

After much frustration and no empathy or understanding from the Agent or Manager I requested the Finance Department to cancel my contract with immediate effect.

The lady in finance straight up asked me why I simply don't come at another time. No consideration for the situation I'm in.
