My contract was cancelled

I signed up with the gym but later cancelled my contract and paid the cancellation fee before the gym was even open.<br> <br> I then received an email stating that my account was in arrears!<br> How can my account be in arrears when they didn't even send me a card and welcome pack to enter the gym?<br> I then come to find out that the gentleman that helped me cancel my contract had been fired due to him doing *****. I don't think that, that should even be a good enough reason as i got a print out stating that my account was in active and Trevor Towns is not a peoples person and was very rude and should learn some skills as he is the manager.
