Membership cancellation

I have been trying to cancel my membership for a month now. It expired last month, which I called keeping in my mind the “30 days notice”. I was told I needed to go to the branch which in Soweto, and I told them I cannot go there because I no longer lived in Soweto. I was then given an email address to request a cancellation to date NOONE has responded to that email. I called again I have been given the same, apparently the only way to cancel is to go to the branch where the membership was opened, again an email address was provided and I’m told I will still be debited!!!
