MANDLA SIBANYONI... it seems that you never paid attention to this complaint..... those areas of R6500 you are talking about will be paid by you.

I joined Gym Company last year June on the 20th 2016 and they offered a two free months membership before the actual debit order kicks off, so we agreed that the debit order should be on the 01st of August 2016 and guess what their agent captured the 31st of July 2016 which resulted the account being in arrears.

In the month of August they double debit my account, I then reversed the debit order as I did not understand what was it for, again in October and November I was double debited... called in to find out why, I was told it was for admin purposes which they never advised me about for the month of November. Spoke to their manager Shaun van der Walt whom advised me that he will send a request to Jean the accounts manager and they will clear the arreas since they were created by capturing the incorrect debit order date.

From: Shaun van der Walt **********
Date: Fri, Dec 9, 2016 at 10:43 AM

Subject: 10055RP ARREARS TO BE CLEARED

To: Jean **********
Cc: **********

Morning Jean. Hope you are well. Please could you clear the R299 arrears for the above reference, as her contract states that the debit should go off on the 01st of every month, but we debited on the 31st in July and August, hence the reason for the defaults.

Regards

Shaun

In the month of February the debit order did not go off I then called to ask what happened, fault was from their side, they asked me to do an EFT transfer and the account will be up to date, the debit order went off in March as per norm. And also their agent Marcell van Wyk confirmed payment received! "Hi Daphne, payment received and our system has been updated. Thank you"

I kept on receiving messages that my account is in arrears, called customer care to query about the messages, also emailed her and Marcel told me to ignore them as everything was up to date.

From: Marcelle van Wyk <accounts2.roodepoort@ gymcompany.co.za>

Date: Fri, Mar 3, 2017 at 12:28 PM

Subject: RE: When will the arrears be cleared?

To: **********

Hi Daphne

Please ignore all messages, your membership was updated on Wednesday.

Regards

Now this month in April they double debited again called them and asked what is that for, I was advised my account is in arrears somehow. I told them that in March I made a transfer for February and the debit order went off for March so where do the arreas come from, Mandla said since last year as the was a dispute in my account!

I told him I want to cancel their membership as they do not follow the contract signed, Mandla Sibanyoni told me that I need to pay a cancellation fee in order for the membership to be cancelled! He is very rude and further said I wont get any money back because no one forced me to join the gym whether I attended or not.
In the month of August on the 31st 2016 there was a double debit, October there was a double debit, November there was a double debit which I was told it was for admin purposes off which it was never disclosed when entering the contract, February they did not debit, I made an EFT transfer in March and the debit order went through on the first of March, now in April they debited R200 plus R199... ***** has been committed in my account more than once and having to dispute some of the double debits has an effect in my credit score in credit bureau.

The account is constantly in arrears so I reversed the double debits which was in August, December and April I would also request that the membership should be cancelled with immediate effect as I tried to make a good relationship with the company but they kept on doing as they please in my account, Gym Company never did anything with the matter brought forward. I believe that this is ***** as they did not follow the agreement.

Below is the proof of bank statement as to how the debits were running. Please note that you will no longer be able to debit from my account going forward.
