Manager doesn’t want to terminate membership l.

I was a member at the Randburg branch. End of July I went to the branch to terminate my membership because I was relocating to Limpopo. I filled in a termination form with their administrator. My notice was supposed to start August and end October. The manager called Kelly called me demanding reasons why I wanted to terminate and told me that my notice will only start in September because he wanted to debit double in November. I greed because I didn’t want people. I called the branch in October to check if my membership was canceled and I was told no because the so called manager sent me another form via email that I should fill. Why am I filling another form while I filled one at the branch. I went to the branch two weeks back and the receptionist was surprised that my membership was still active. Why is my membership still active why I have been paying for the months I gave notice for?
