I signed the contract with the Gym company in February 2024 and attended once on a free trial on 4th of March 2024 started paying on 26 the of March 2024. Before leaving my job I sent an email to them around the second last week of October 2024 using the email address that was on the internet at that time "***" stating that I will not be able to continue paying and stated my reasons, and asked would they be kind enough to cancel my gym membership and further asked them to please contact me at the reception of the email as I knew I wouldn't be able to go to them physically. They didn't but continued with the debit orders. Until January I went and cancelled the debit orders, Lo and behold not even 24 hrs later I was receiving calls and WhatsApp messages and SMS's threatening me about due payments not made will result in a bad credit, which begged the question where do they get the time and the time and energy to send me WhatsApp messages and make calls for unsettled payments but don't go through their emails?Fastforward to 5 days ago when I received one of those calls, the lady on the call asked me when will the payments be made, I then told her I sent them an email 5 months ago stating why those emails can't be made, she then stumbled on her words before asking which email address I had sent to and when I told her she said they don't receive emails on the one I mentioned above (as though I could've known since that was the only email address I could find in the internet at that time), she'll send me the via WhatsApp the correct email address. Ladies and gentlemen am I glad to say it's been 5 days and I'm still waiting for her to get back to me. So this morning when I woke up to my surprise I had a debit order with their name and a new reference. I then go to the internet again to look for their email address and I found a new email address to send to no thanks to the lady that would still get back to me.
