Gym Company ripping people off

Hi I am so unhappy with the level of service I have received from your company. My membership expired in September and I called the gym to let them know that I do not wish to continue with my member and I was in durban with work and I was told that I need to personally go to the gym to stop my membership. How is it possible that I can sign up from anywhere even the mall but when my contract is over and I don't wish to continue with it I need to personally go to the gym and give a 30days notice????? I was told that I need to pay R350 because its outstanding from my account I paid it on the spot and I was told that everything is sorted. My account was debited again today and when I call to find out what's happening I am told that the expiry date of my contract is pushed up because I reversed a debit order. Please sort this out
