Gym Company Jacaranda - *********** Company!!!!

My husband and I have joined the gym (Gym Company Jacaranda) back in November 2021 when the gym haven't been completed yet. I haven't experienced anything out of the ordinary except that another member was linked to my account hence me not being able to enter the gym as the information captured on the system showed I owe them money, but that my bank account has been successfully debited each and every month. This was my first bad encounter with them. My second bad encounter was when I decided to upgrade from the Black to the Platinum Membership for the added benefits. This took place end of October/start of November 2023. A month has passed since upgrading and now I can't enter the gym due to my 'account being unpaid' with an outstanding amount of +/- R 1 700.00 with their explanation that its due to my upgrade and the amount should have been voided from Head Office. I have been to two different people in the 'back office' of the gym itself where each of the employees told me that they'll need to send it to their Supervisor/Manager for resolution. The one lady has successfully unblocked my tag, but only till end of April which means after April once again I won't be able to enter the gym. Please take note that since the upgrade, they have not failed to still debit my account each month as per the agreed upon amount, but now each time they debit my account, they feel the need to debit it with an extra amount of R 50 (to which the gym employee told me it's to check whether the bank account is still 'active'). My debit order for March has been processed, but they took an additional R80.00. This cannot be to check whether my bank account is still 'active' when they tried to check it last month.

Don't ever harm yourself by joining the gym, they are a bunch of ***********, pathetic people who wants their money but aren't willing to meet you halfway in resolving the issues they caused.
