Gym Company deducting money from my account after repeated attempts to cancel membership once it had expired.

I had been with this gym at 120 End street for more than 3 years now,since 2014 June. I was very disappointed at the service when my contract had come to an end and I was surprised they were still deducting money from my account. Earlier in the year in February I had called telling them of my intention to cancel my membership as I had moved away. I was told to send and email with my intention to cancel which I did, however money was still deducted. After a few calls to the gym I was told the person I had spoken to was gone and didn't know what she was doing. When June finally came and the contract had expired I was told to write another letter to cancel my membership which yielded no results. After repeated phone calls and attempts to cancel my membership via email I was told I had to come into the branch to cancel my membership although I had moved away. I took time off work to collect this cancellation form at the branch at 120 End street. When I got there the "Only" person, Sthembele dealing with the cancellations who had access to the forms was at lunch at 15:00pm. I was told to hand write a letter right then and there stating I wanted to cancel. I even took a picture of this letter as this was the 3rd letter I had written to cancel. Like clockwork at the end of that month the debit order went off and money was taken from my account. I have since called twice in this month of November asking to speak to what seems to be a mystical creature Sthembele who is said to exist there but I have never seen. I am honestly fed up with this bad service and disregard from these people. I got an email today saying my annual gym maintenance levy was going to be deducted end of November, really!? What more do I have to do to get these people out of my life and my bank account. They have left a bitter taste in my mouth and I would not recommend even my worst enemy to them.
