Formal Demand to Cease Unauthorized Debits and Refund Overcharges
I hereby formally demand the immediate cessation of all debits from my account.
My contract with your company was cancelled in December, and I was advised of a three-month cancellation period covering January, February, and March. This obligation has been fully met.
Despite this, unauthorized debits have continued. An amount of R199 was deducted in April, and again in May, along with two additional charges of R50 each. These charges are ********, as they were neither agreed to nor supported by any valid contractual basis.
Your continued debiting of my account constitutes an unauthorized transaction and may be regarded as a violation of consumer protection laws.
Accordingly, I demand the following:
Immediate termination of any further debits A full written explanation of all charges app**** after March A full refund of all amounts deducted from April to date
Should this matter not be resolved within 5 (five) business days of this notice, I will proceed without further notice to:
Dispute the debits with my bank Lodge formal complaints with the National Consumer Commission and the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud Institute legal proceedings to recover all funds, including any additional costs incurred
This communication serves as a formal letter of demand.
I expect written confirmation of resolution as a matter of urgency.
