FAST TO TAKE MONEY BUT CANT HELP

In January 2016 we signed up with Gym Company. We informed the manager that we will be relocating to Port Elizabeth in the year and he wrote on our contracts that we will not pay a cancellation penalty fee and they will find someone else to take over our contracts. On the 1 April me and my partner went to Gym Company and we were told by the manager that the lady that cancels the contracts only works from 08:30 - 17:00 Monday till Friday. So my partner went again on the 4 April with a cancellation letter explaining that we have relocated to Port Elizabeth and we need to cancel the contracts, however he was told that the lady that does the cancellations is sick. Today is the 8 April and the first time I called, the lady informed me that she will call me back as she must still log in, 3 hours later no one contacted me and I called again. A guy answered and asked me a few questions regarding the cancellation. After 15 mins of explaining he then wants to transfer me to someone else. I asked him why and he just dropped the phone in my ear. So Gym Company is a ******* as they are fast to take your money but they can't help with the cancellation.
