False Promotion

I was approached by a Sales Consultant named Nkululeko from the GYM Company(Newtown)at Braamfontein and was encouraged to join. I told the consultant that I would be moving to Sandton and asked if they have branches in Sandton or around Finetown where I stay. He said they have nothing in Finetown but have a Gym in Randburg. I told him I do not think this can work and he encouraged me to try it out as these was a two months free payment promotion and if I was not happy in 30 days I should cancel the membership. I signed the form however due to my new place of work I could not go to the gym. I contacted GYM company to cancel and they said i I should pay 20% cancellation fee as I was supposed to cancel in 5 days. I explained to them what the consultant sold to me. I was asked by the consultant to meet his Manager Ntando as he still remembers our conversation. The consultant did not attend the meeting claiming he was on the floor marketing. I spoke to the Manager and even informed about the ratings they are receiving from companies because of their false promotion tactics. He said he is aware but said I should do transfer to my son. My son does not like to go to the gym. He said I should pay the fee. I am not happy and do not agree with their terms cause if the consultant was honest I would have not signed with them. Please assist as I am told that I should pay 20% of the fee 30th of October 2017
