False marketing and false contracting

We were interested in joining a gym. The agent told us to sign a paper which if we want to join we can submit it and our application will then be processes and we will be members. Before handing it in we were informed to take the first month of July free and if we like the gym then submit our application. The advertised gym amount was stated as R99 a month. I told the agent that I have a gym at work but would like an outside gym to go on weekends and he told me that you are not debited but pay the money yourself every month that you use the gym.

I am now getting sms's and calls requesting payment. We have never tried out the gym nor submitted these application forms. So I fail to understand how they are requesting payment as we were told upon submission of these yellow paper we signed then will we be members of the gym.

The lady then called me harassing payment and I told her no and told her to close that cause we did not agree to join but only review then join. She then told me it can't be closed and all she requires from me is payment.
