Ending Contract

When I signed the contract I was not aware and it was not disclosed by the sales person that the contract is for 3 years at the time I was a graduate intern. its my fault for not reading the fine print I admit but the sale happened on the street and I trusted him. I went to gym only 6 month i started in June because I had to move.

At the time I froze the contract there is still no gym company close by, I have no car hence I wanted to cancel the contract indefinitely i did not have the money they requested from me so i continues to pay R200 since 2014. now I want to cancel the contract because I've paid my dues.

Please advise why is it i still owe R793 although in October I was advised that i owe R796, since then R600 has been deducted by gym company starting from 25 November 2017?

this in unfair a d wrong I'm pay g for gym I can not go to and not be abuse I don't want to e an though I can hardly afford it. but because there Isnt one in my area.

Please someone explain to me.

This is a reply I get when I enquire about the R796 I supposedly owe gym company although R600 has been paid to them since I made my Intentions to cancel my contact clear and since my contract ended in July 2017. "Its arrears and they don’t go anywhere until u pay them, and your contract will keep on continuing until you cancel it." But this is gym, it's membership based and not some furniture shop. I am not even using their facilities or services i havent been for 3 + years. why can't those R200 deducted since Nov be towards the R796 since my contract has lapsed and I've made it clear I want it cancelled already in October 2017 I don't have R796 to pay all at once?
