DO NOT SIGN UP WITH GYM COMPANY!!!!!

After so many calls and visits to their branch, I decided to comply with cancellation policy despite their verbal confirmations that do not reflect the respective policy. I served the 3 months cancellation notice from January until March which is now. I visited their branch on Tuesday, 25th March 2025 to make payment on all the reversals I made for the months of Jan and Feb. After doing so, I asked how the confirming process of the membership cancellation works, and a lady from their accounts department, named Portia suggested that I can even text her on WhatsApp to seek confirmation that the membership is cancelled after she had asked me to send her the cancellation form I had from last year that was issued by lady named Jabulile who not only wrote a last debit payment date of 25th December 2024 on the cancellation form i have but apparently, went as far as noting the cancellation on their system, that day but did not action it, as Portia updates me. So then, Portia tells me that it is only Jabu who can go into the system and action the cancellation like some sort of respective admin for the membership cancellation. I left the branch, having paid for Jan and Feb reversals and I texted Portia the following day (26th March 2025, the day I was debited for March) as she said I can. She does not answer my texts and she still hasn't till this day. Being concerned now, I call again. This time, the receptionist. I ask if my membership is cancelled and she agrees and adds that the membership will be cancelled on the 4th of April. Now I'm shocked because that date she just said, defeats what their cancellation policy says regarding the 3 months notice. I ask her if I will be debited on that day. She says she does not know and then asked if she can transfer me to the admin side. She does so, and admin wasn't much help as well, as she confirmed the same date but can't answer whether I will be debited or not. And then she transfers me to the accounts department. To a lady named Matshidiso, who when i immediately got on the call with her, told me that she is busy with other members and she can't attend to my matter now. She then asked that I leave her with my details so she can call me back when she's free. I asked her when should I expect the call. She answers and says the latest being tomorrow. I am very much certain that she won't call and they are going to hold on to that membership until I have no money left in my account. I honestly believe that these people know what they are doing and if I didn't know any better, I would say what they are doing constitutes as *****. All these delay tactics and lies! Since from last year! Even their GM, Gugulethu who **** and said she could help me and would contact me to let me what is going on.
