Contract Change

I Was informed by the sales consultant at gym company when signing up that i would be entered into a 12 month contract at R199 to any gym in Johannesburg however when phoning about cancellation I was instructed that I have been entered into a 36 month contract where a copy of my I.D was not attached and I have been forced to now be stuck into. They ***** the customer over and just shrug there shoulders when finding out further about it.
