Cancellation of a Contract that has ended

My gym membership ended in October 2022. In October 2022, I called Gym Company Winchester Hills and requested my contract. Received the contract that day and sent an email to the same email address to request that my membership is not renewed. I sent a follow up email but no response. I contacted Gym company and was told that the email box to which I sent my email to, is managed by the Admin Manager. In November, a debit order deduction goes off and levies. After my contract had ended in October and I had given notice for it to be canceled and not renewed. Contacted Gym Company, several times to resolve, no one willing to assist. Spoke to the Sales Manager who actually got back to me with the Admin Manager and advised that my contract will be canceled and I would receive a refund form for the debits. I thn receive a cancellation form to complete which was completed and sent to gym company. Note at no point since Oct, were I advised of a cancellation form that had to be completed. I now get an sms that my gym account is overdue. This is exactly the reason why I did not want to renew my contract, because of the incompetence and lack of professionalism by the staff of gym company. They have no regard for their clients which is shown in their lack of communication. Can someone urgently cancel my contract, I do not want to be associated with a brand that has no regard for client service
