Bad service

I was approached by Gym company consultant at east rand mall to sign in for gym membership , they have a promotion going on for R99 for 36 months , joining fee of R599 to be paid in 2 installments in which I paid R300 cash and confirmed the other balance will be debited from my bank account , I was told that the Gym will open 1st of March because they are currently having problems with the floor , and I was told that I will get an sms closer to the time to notify me of the opening day , Its now mid Feb and did not get any communication from the gym and I thought let me contact them to find out the opening date and I called the consultant and his phone is off and then decided to call the manager and said the consultant phone has battery problems which I just don't understand how you can leave a phone that is used to contact clients not working , since the gym has not opened yet that will be the contact nr for clients , 2nd the manager told me that the gym will only open end of April my query is why I was not informed and he said SMS were sent to all clients which he does not know why I did not get an sms and I can go to Alberton gym if I want , and that is not an option for me .
