Bad customer service and unhygienic facilities

I signed up with gym company at flora centre last year and a week later I found out that I have a back condition which makes it dangerous for me to use weights and that I have to take a break from gyming. I went to gym company with my diagnosis and asked if I can cancel the contract as I havent used the facilities or paid membership fees as yet and the only solution they had was for me to pay a penalty of over R7000 to cancel which is ridiculous. The other option was to freeze my account for 3 months and then I have to continue. I have been there a couple of times this year to use spa facilities which costs extra anyways and every time I've been there the bathroom and changing room facilities are disgusting. I guess you get what you pay for as the price is cheap at R299 but the facilities are unhygienic and the customer service is terrible.
