Bad client service

Bad client service. I joined gym company in Nov 2022. I was told that it is a month to month contract so therefore I'll be able to cancel it at any time. 2023 around Dec I went in and tried to cancel and I was told stories, May 2024 I tried to cancel again and I was told stories. Eventually early this year I was advices that I should pay for atleast 6 months if there's no valid reason. I told them that I work long hours, they said I can only be put on hold if there's a medical reason but I can pay for 6 months straight and they will cancel. I asked for forms they said they will take my name down and put a note that after 6 months it should be canceled. I'm now shocked because the 6 months has elapsed and they are still debiting. Do not join gym company. Imagine paying for 36 months for nothing but they still can't cancel and I am being asked about form
