Gwahumbe Game & Spa - A hidden gem

Gwahumbe Game & Spa We have visited Gwahumbe on a few occasions as 'campers' and it has always been the most perfect getaway to recharge the batteries and 'be one with nature' down in the valley, next to the river. There are walking trails leading to the waterfall, mer**** pool and various lookout points which is made even more spectacular when a giraffe or two wander by. One does need a 4WD though to access the campsite, unless you book for one of the lodge rangers to drive you down and back. We have also utilised the main lodge for their delicious ‘lamb burgers’ and beautiful setting sitting on the deck. Highly recommended if you want to have an escape from the big smoke and switch off surrounded by the sound of birds. For those seeking a safe (no dangerous animals), quiet and beautiful place to camp, Gwahumbe ticks all of the boxes.
