Gubas De Hoek, a pearl of a guesthouse

My parents recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. To mark this joyous occasion, they wanted to go back to Robertson, their place of birth, for a trip down memory lane, so to speak.

I booked them into Gubas De Hoek meet eat sleep for a long weekend and when the hosts heard that they were celebrating their anniversary, they upgraded their room free of charge to a garden loft, which is an open thatch room with a balcony.

My parents had a lovely stay at the guest house. They said that everyone was so warm and friendly, which is not surprising as the hosts are kindhearted people who go out of their way to make their guests truly feel at home.

My parents commended the excellent service that they have received from everyone. They said it is evident that the team at Gubas take pride in their work as nothing was too much trouble for them; they endeavour to make guests' stay as convenient and comfortable as possible.
