**** ****!!!

On the 28 May I lost my cellphone in the taxi. The cellphone was a MTN contract phone insured by Guardrisk insurance. I could not claim insurance immediately as I was waiting for my ID. I finally got my ID so I went to MTN to process a claim. I did all the necessary paper work and submitted. They informed me that the process will take about two weeks and I will be contacted. Two weeks went by then another week went by ... insurance did not contact me. I called them after the third week, for them to tell me that the insurance claim was rejected because I did not use the MTN Sim card only on the cellphone. This makes absolutely no sense as I had insured the cellular device not the Sim card and besides, how would using only MTN Sim card prevent the cellphone from getting lost. Guardrisk insurance is a **** and to think I paid so much money for insurance for them to tell me this nonsense. I am truly disappoint with Guardrisk insurance and MTN. For them to mislead and outright rob innocent people like this. I will not take this laying down really.
