Not paying Out

I took gap cover with Guard Risk when I bought my car because they said it would cover anything that my comprehensive cover doesn’t cover. Now that I am claiming an amount that was not covered by my comprehensive cover they tell me that they won’t pay because it is excess of my contract with my insurance. They even send me a clause where they highlight this when they didn’t take same courtesy of explaining and highlighting critical terms and conditions when I explained I took the insurance. They intentionally misled me because right now they are able to explain clearly why they are not covering me but when they sold the insurance they said they cover anything that the comprehensive cover doesn’t pay.
