Never Insure with GuardRisk

I use Discovery Health as my primary medical aid - and have been used to their prompt and efficient service for 10 years+. I did, however, take out Gap Cover with a company called [URL Removed] - and indirectly with Guardrisk as they underwrite the cover.<br> <br> I went for a should op 31st March this year and whilst Discovery promptly paid the bulk of my claims, there were some expenses which fell to my Gap cover as the surgeon charges above the medical aid rate. Needless to say, trying to get Guardrisk to pay this gap cover has been an exercise in frustration and incompetence. It is a very simple claim and all requested docs have been emailed through to them and faxed through - to the address and number they defined. And yet, 1 month later, I am still receiving emails and sms's stating that my claim cannot be finalized due to the very same outstanding docs - which have now been sent over 5 times incl to the direct email address of the person I was told was dealing with my claim.<br> <br> I didn't choose to be involved with Guardrisk - and boy do I regret having any dealings with them!<br>
