Guardrisk Insurance - declined a valid claim

Guardrisk Insurance declined a valid claim saying I should have paid more attention to avoid the accident. I am puzzled as to what this means, I doubt I would put my life in danger by intentionally involving myself in an accident to a point the car gets written off. Basically, had an accident in January and after an assessment Telkom Insurance provided feedback the car is to be written off and I am to wait for the payout amounting to market value, whilst waiting I bought a new car as it is primary source of transportation. Waited for the payout until I called Telkom Insurance, mid April I received a letter from Telkom Insurance which was coming from Guardrisk informing me the claim has been declined.
