Diminished Liability

Burst hot water cylinder damaged carpets which need to be replaced. They are offering to pay a portion of the replacement value because of wear and tear. Nothing states this in their policy. What it does say: "place the insured back in the same financial position before the claim" - DEFINITELY NOT!
