Bad Service

When I bought my 2012 Land Rover Freelander II in August 2019, I was encouraged by the garage to take out a two Warranty on the vehicle. They indicated that it is one of the best with no hassles to assist. BUT this is not the fact. In October 2019 I had to problem with the vehicle and had to take it for repair. The vehicle was at the garage for about four weeks. E-mails, telephone calls and personal interaction with Traficc, Landy Centre and the Dealership that I bought the vehicle from. I was without transportation for almost 5 weeks. Although my policy have a clous for car hire, I did not qualify according to Traficc. Now I have to take the vehicle for a cv joint replacement and again the vehicle need to stay at the garage for the workshop to strip the old part, take pictures, write a report and submit it to Traficc for authorisation. I stay about 80km away from the garage. But again I don't qualify due to the fact that car hire policy is only available two days after authorisation is given. The garage mentioned that it will take about 2-3 hours to strip the old part, then they need to write the report, that will only be done late afternoon or the following day and submit the documents to Traficc Warranty for authorisation. The garage can only order the parts after they receive authorisation and that might take a few hours. By day three they might be able to refit the parts and I will be able to collect the vehicle only after Traficc has settled the claim. How long this might take I don't know, but I'm not entitled to make use of the car hire position on my policy.
