Being charged for a service not received.
I received an email today saying that my account was blocked. I sent an email to find out what for as i had not even traded on the GT247 platform .. Its blocked through the firewall at work. but response i got was \Please note that your account is currently in the negative balance of R64.98 which is the JSE fees charged because of the instruments which were added the watch list."<br> I believe this to be absolutely unacceptable as not other place charges for adding things to your watchlist.<br> I use a number of platforms and have never been charged for making use of the watchlist.<br> I refuse to pay for this and also would most certainly not like to deal with [URL Removed] based on their service"

We apologize for the confusion around your experience with the JSE Pricing Policy.
All our clients are given a fee structure option in the second stage of signing up to trade with us. Only once our clients agree and select their pricing option are they allowed to sign up with us.
Most brokers charge a monthly fee for the service of viewing JSE pricing.
At GT247.com we charge our clients only on what they choose to view based on the fee structure our clients select during the registration process - this has worked out to be the most affordable manner in which to comply with the JSE Pricing Policy for our clients.
When a client of ours selects to add instruments to their platform's watchlist or places a trade, automatically adding the instrument to the watchlist, this fee is calculated and applies as the client is now accessing JSE pricing information, if a client does not add an instrument to their watchlist or does not trade the JSE fees do not apply.
