DO NOT TRUST!!!

I was a loyal client of this company for nearly 10 years. From the outset, it was made clear that they would not service my Mimaki printer unless I purchased ink directly from them—despite their prices being significantly higher than other suppliers. Out of necessity, I comp****.

Over time, I began experiencing recurring issues with their ink: faulty chips, cartridges registering as empty when full, and discrepancies in cartridge weight. The most serious problem began around June/July of last year when the magenta nozzles on my print head became blocked, rendering the machine unusable. Considering the head was around five years old, I assumed it had reached the end of its life and decided to replace it.

Rather than purchasing a new head from them at a cost exceeding R50,000, I opted to import a genuine Mimaki print head from a reputable German supplier—recommended by a former employee of the company. Within three weeks of installation, the magenta nozzles on the new head also blocked. I reported this to the company, and they eventually sent technicians over two separate days (due to being unprepared), then charged me for both visits despite my repeated concerns.

The technicians concluded that the new head was at fault—not their ink—despite ongoing ink issues I had raised over time. They even claimed the new head was a counterfeit, despite its valid Mimaki serial number. At no point did they take responsibility for the damage caused, nor did they acknowledge any fault with their ink supply, even though evidence and history pointed otherwise.

Their conduct throughout was unprofessional and dismissive. I feel they exploited their position as the sole Mimaki supplier in South Africa, offering overpriced ink, poor technical support, and no accountability. In my experience, dealing with this company has been both financially and emotionally draining. I would strongly caution others against doing business with them.
