Growthpoint deserves what they get

I wrote to Growthpoint recently to invite a discussion on my office rental because I knew I can avoid paying rent after the COVID-19 virus and the Presidential decree created a force majeure. Cherie Bussac immediately wrote back and told me I had to pay the office rent without taking any notice of the legal position I had carefully outlined, followed by my sympathy that we are all facing the same challenges so I was open to discussion. I will now stick to paying no rent. Cherie deserves to be fired for her customer treatment, or Growthpoint deserve all the pain that PEP and other retailers are about to inflict. You cannot play the victim to the large retailers, whilst you play the bully with SMEs.
