R1000+ feather topper poking me and substandard

I purchased a feather topper last year from groupon which I opened last week. the duck feathers are all coming out through the fabric and poke me. I didn't spend this much money for something I cant use at all. Its like having pins in your bed. What should I do now ? throw a R1000 item away ?
