Groupon's voucher suppliers provide terrible service

I made an appointment last week for today morning at 8AM. The duration of the service is approximately 2.5 hours. I arranged leave from work this morning according to this information provided and I was going to wait there until my vehicle was complete.

I arrived at Autotec VTS at 8am and the receptionist advised that the workers are out for breakfast and that I will have to wait for them to get back. When one of the workers returned. The receptionist advised the worker that I am here for “Smash and Grab” and I have an appointment for 8am. He rep**** by saying that he has 2 vehicles and will need to finish that before he works on my vehicle. Then she advised him that it was a Groupon deal and his response was “How much did she pay on Groupon, she must pay extra now because it is a brand new vehicle”.

I approached the receptionist and asked her what the problem is and why do I need to pay an additional amount. Her reply was “Did he say that to you or me”.

I was extremely disappointed with the service provided and I left the premises immediately. I did not let them work on my vehicle so did not use the voucher.

They are extremely unprofessional. If an appointment is made I would expect that my appointment is kept as I cannot spend the entire day waiting for them to finish their backlog and then start working on my vehicle. I also cannot wait for them to have breakfast if I made an appointment and made the time to be there on time. The Groupon redemption is only valid on a weekday during normal office hours so one would need to take leave to make use of this voucher, this needs to be taken into consideration and their appointment times and turnaround time needs to be adhered to.

I contacted Groupon immediately and their response was that they can give me a credit note but not a cash refund as it falls after their 7 days refund policy. This was the earliest booking I could get and how do I know in advance that I would get this kind of service. If I was able to secure a booking within 7 days and I experienced this problem then only would I get a refund? Does this make sense? If your partner does not have availability and I am only able to use the voucher now, how can I not be entitled to a refund when such bad service was provided?

Groupon's reputation of the services they sell over the years has certainly deteriorated and Groupon itself has terrible customer service.
