Groupon bought and now not valid due to new owners

Bought a groupon at a coffee shop. When I called to book I was told the shop was sold and new owner does not take vouchers. When enquired with Groupon, they now can't \find"the voucher even though I see it on my profile?? My refund was still not done!! Such a battle to do enquiries with them!!
