Damaged goods and releasing banking info
I ordered and payed for a desk online. Had no indication of delivery etc until I was called in the morning to confirm the delivery details and give them again. So the item finally arrived and I had to get someone else to sign as I couldn't make arrangements to be there as I had no idea. Saw the box which was in worse shape for wear.... Table was chipped off in the one corner... Surprise surprise. Figured it would be more problematic to have it changed so I decided to let it be. The problem for me was when I got a phone call from my bank telling me that my card details had been copied and it being a new card and Groupon being the only place I had used my banking details with that card, I put these thoughts together. Do not buy from Groupon as your card details will be copied!!! There's no client safety and I would advise checking your account if you have recently purchased using them. I'm an IT Manager so I know how these things work. With Groupon, very badly...
