Terrible Service from Group2flooring

Lewis from Group2flooring came to assess our requirements and presented very professional options etc and designed their offer and quote to what we discussed. We were impressed with the offer and quotation and then contracted Group2flooring. This contractor commenced mid September and did well until the time to complete the project was reached, which as a week, and they were not finished. This is where the problems began. They stalled and did not return to finish the project leaving it approximately 90% complete telling us to be patient until they have capacity to complete because they had other projects running at the same time. We had no time to wait and needed the project completed. It was the finishing off i.e. ceiling plater and paint, skirtings finishing, wall tiling and flooring finishing that was left not done. We paid 90% of the full value and held 10%, which I eventually paid in full as goodwill as Lewis promised to honour guarantees he gave to us when selling us their services etc. We then at additional unbudgeted cost to us we contracted another contractor to finish off Group2flooring’s work because we could not wait for them to have the time to come finish their project.

Now the problem is that the very very expensive laminate flooring that was installed by Group2flooring is lifting very badly in several places. We paid R67,620 for 140m2. I have sent messages to Lewis to come assess and advise regarding the guarantee for the flooring. He responded and committed to come for two days and never arrived.

My wife and I cannot afford to have another contractor repair the problems and need Group2flooring to have integrity to come and assist. We paid in good confidence and now we are being ignored and left with a very expensive problem.
