Hyundai An After Sales disaster or are they **********

We purchased a vehicle from Hyundai Randburg in December 2013. The vehicle comes standard with a 5 year 150000 warranty and service plan. We purchased a full maintenance plan from Hyundai and the under writers for such is a company called Liquid Capital. The vehicle had to be service in 15000km intervals. Since our purchase we completed 44600 to date. On the 5th November 2016 we decided to send the vehicle for the 45000km service to Midrand Hyundai. My experience here was awful. They had no vehicles to transport you back to work and upon fetching the vehicle the vehicle was handed back unwashed with the fenders messed with grease. I complained to the Manager Mr Bryan Harris who said that he will look into it. He called me back saying/lying that my vehicle finished late and they could not wash it. The receptionist said that they do not wash cars on a Saturday.

This was the least of my problems.

i fetched my vehicle and parked it off. On Monday my wife used the vehicle to work and on her way back the car started smoking. She immediately pulled of and called me. Upon arrival I decided to use the road side assistance provided by Hyundai. The vehicle was towed back to Midrand work shop. I was told that they will diagnose the problem. The diagnoses was that the clutch was gone. Knowing that I'm covered by the warranty and maintenance plan I did not worry. Even Mr Harris felt at ease knowing my situation.

I was then called by Hyundai and informed that they will not cover the clutch and fly wheel. They apparently made an application to Liquid Capital who refuted the claim. A claim was made against my warranty and Hyundai head office turned it down or so I was informed verbally. They say that there is blue burn marks on the clutch which shows that the clutch was exposed to extreme heat and that this is no fault of the part failing. Thus refuting the claim. Due to the refuting of the claim the road side assistance now becomes the cost of the client. How can they even call that road side assistance.

It is common knowledge that driving in the Johannesburg area during peak times, one will be in severe traffic. While driving a Manuel vehicle there will definitely be strain or extreme heat with regards to the clutch. And we as lay people won't even know this up and until you find yourself in my situation.

Liquid capital and Hyundai refuse to honour their promise in terms of their advertising. I understand that they are now advertising a 7 year 200000km warranty. This can be viewed as a real **** if Liquid Capital are the under writers of such.

we the consumers pay in advance for these warranties and maintenance plans so we can have peace of mind driving a vehicle

for the specified time of cover.

My review is to warn you about these ********** and that you reconsider even entering into a sale agreement or contract as the empty promises is a reality.
