Omoda Stellenbosch Service Department - Unmitigated Disaster

My experience at Omoda Stellenbosch was an unmitigated disaster. The sheer incompetence and lack of accountability displayed by the staff at the Servicing department is staggering.

I called the dealership to book for the first service of the car since purchase date. The date of the service was 17 March 2025. I notified them in advance that I will be dropping the car off with a list of issues. I asked them to please ensure that all is resolved so that I do not drive back and forth numerous times for the same issue. I was assured that all my queries will be resolved in 1 visit as there were no ‘major’ issues.

*Car Issues Ignored: CarPlay cuts off after 15 minutes – still not working Door rubber missing – still missing Smash and grab bulging after a few weeks of purchasing the car – still bulging Despite warning them about these issues before my visit, they did nothing.

Their dismissive attitude and zero interest in resolving problems and taking me for an idiot suggesting to simply "reset Bluetooth" was laughable.

I was told smash and grab wasn't their department, despite the relevant team being next door. All they needed to do was ask them a few steps away. Which is something I had to do when I went to collect my car. When I enquired, I was assured they will resolve and replace this – to date, I am still waiting…

When I told them the door rubber is missing, I received the "oh well" response to the missing door rubber which a perfect example of their apathy.

These are the Staff that I dealt with: -Ian Tolmay -Brandon, Foreman -Christian, Workshop Manager

To top it all off, they tell me at least the car was washed – well, as it may be – the car was NEVER washed, wiped or cleaned! By the looks of it, it seems all that did happen was the car stood and baked in the sun for a few hours….

I truly wish that their service department was at least 50% as good as their sales department!

I expect a formal response and resolution to these issues within the next week or this will be escalated further. Anything less is unacceptable.
