UNACCEPTABLE SECURITY OFFICERS AT PUBLIC HOSPITALS

Yesterday 24.06.2018 we went to visit a family member at Groote Schuur hospital. We got there at 10.52 and visiting hours are from 11.00am. The female security on duty on the E Floor entrance stopped us at the door telling us it was not visiting time. We are fully aware of the visiting time hence the reason for being there 8 minutes early which would give us enough time to get to the C27 ward, it being a distance from the entrance. Without asking us where we were going she said its not visiting time. She preceeded to call some one who did not intorduce himself and who did not even call the ward to speak to the head sister to ask if he could send us in. The result was that he tried to physically push my daughter out the door and asked us to remain outside in the puring rain. This IS SO UNACCEPTABLE AS THEY SENT OTHER PEOPLE IN WHOM WE FOUND TO BE ON THE SAME FLOOD VISITING AS WE WERE. THEY WERE NOT STOPPED. I NEED ADVICE TO SEE IF THERE IS AN OMBUDSMAN FOR THIS SECURITY I CAN LAY A CHARGE AGAINST THE TWO SECURITY GAURDS.
