Gripp Unlimited- This bike shop collected our bike late February 2020. March 2020 lockdown happened. On the 5th of May 2020 the company requested that we send him our permit to prove that my husband was an essential worker that we send on the 6th of May 2020. We finally received a quote 04/08/2020 and started with down payments. This Quote included a service of the bike and Strip and rebuild of gearbox shaft. They couldn't get part so we asked him to send the shaft to Bloemfontein so that this can be manufactured. They received the shaft and promised we will get the bike within 2 weeks (15 December 2020) The 15th of December 2020 come and past and so the weeks after. Every-time the owner has a new excuse. We need to buy a new battery and we bought a new battery from them. Finally, the owner came back to us. Now the starter clutch needs to be replaced. Once again this were to be send to Bloemfontein for manufacturing. Bear in mind that all the manufacturing cost we had to cover ourselves. The parcel were collected 15 March 2021 in Bloemfontein, they received the starter clutch 30 April 2021. Once again empty promises were made. Then all of a sudden, the magneto is damaged, and they are struggling to get the bike started. On the 6th of June 2021 we made the call and rented a bakkie to collect the bike. On inspection the bike didn't select gears, old black spark plugs still in the bike. Air filter were not replaced. So we paid for a service that were not done according to our findings. The marking on a so called new battery 201025. The battery received were not even charged. So they received a bike that started and selected gears and we received a non runner back. We send the owner photos of all our findings and we had a meeting with the owner 08/06/2021. He admitted that there were about 3 machanics that worked on the bike and that the previous machanic on numouris occasions forgot to replace air filters. E mails were sent and he promised to reply on the e mails. Today 21/06/2021 we have not received any correspondence from the owner. So we paid Gripp Unlimited an Rxx ***-xx amount for what? They didn’t even supply the parts as per their Quote.
